# Getting Started

## Installation

First, install Yansa Asset Tag Maker on your ServiceNow instance via the **System Applications** application in your left nav. Visit **Yansa Asset Tag Maker** in your left nav and peruse the available modules. Be sure to enable annotations in your instance by clicking the **‘…’** icon in the top-right of any form. Every Asset Tag Maker form includes documentation to help you along.

## Roles

* **x\_yala\_tagger.user**: User role - grants access to read and update tag creation jobs, as well as to create & update label templates and barcode content
* **x\_yala\_tagger.admin**: Grants access to Label Designer and administrator-level capabilities, such as updating label configurations or merge maps
* **image\_admin**: Required to view, insert, or edit images in Label Designer

## Usage

Open or create a **Label Template**, then click **Design Label** in the form header to build and preview the label visually. See [**Label Designer**](/asset-tag-maker/technical-docs/building-a-label-template/creating-labels/label-designer.md) for the complete workflow.
