# Getting Started

## Installation

First, install Yansa PDF Generator on your ServiceNow instance via the **System Applications** application in your left nav. Visit **Yansa PDF Generator** in your left nav and peruse the available modules. Be sure to enable annotations in your instance by clicking the **‘…’** icon in the top-right of any form. Every PDF Generator form includes documentation to help you along.

## Roles

* **x\_yala\_pdf.user**: User role - grants access to read and generate templates based on the user criteria for those templates
* **x\_yala\_pdf.admin**: Necessary to create new templates and use the sample 'Generate PDF' UI Actions
