# Getting Started

## Installation

First, install Simple Data Separation on your ServiceNow instance via the **System Applications** application in your left nav. Visit **Yansa Simple Separation** in your left nav and peruse the available modules. Be sure to enable annotations in your instance by clicking the **‘…’** icon in the top-right of any form. Every Simple Data Separation form includes documentation to help you along. In particular, you will find useful information **Separation Rule** form.

## Roles

* **x\_yala\_simp\_sep.admin**: Necessary to create/update/delete Separation Rules
* **admin**: Necessary for one-time installation of globally scoped Component
