Add to Update Set is a utility for ServiceNow admins that will add any record (plus attachments and translations) to the active update set.
For many record types, Add to Update Set will automatically gather all required dependencies and also add them to the update set:
To add a full table definition and all dependencies (fields, labels, choices, attributes, default form view, default list view), use from the Table or Dictionary 'collection' record
To add a field definition and all dependencies (field, label, choices, attributes, overrides), use from the Dictionary record
When adding a Form record, all dependencies are automatically added
When adding a Service Portal portal, page, or widget, all dependencies are automatically added
When adding a Catalog Item or Order Guide, all dependencies are automatically added
When adding a Variable Set, all dependencies are automatically added
When adding a Workflow, all sub-flows are automatically added (navigate to wf_workflow.list to add workflows)
When adding a Homepage, all dropzones and contents are automatically added (navigate to sys_portal_page.list to add homepages)

When adding a NLU Model, all dependencies are automatically added. If the NLU Model is published in the source instance, a scheduled job is added to the update set to publish it in the target instance 60 seconds after the update set is committed.
