# Data Sources

Data Sources are used when generating PDFs from multiple records for label PDF generation. They enable you to specify the pool of records from which to generate labels.

* **Source**: Table from which to retrieve records. This should correlate to the 'Source table' on the PDF Template record.
* **Query type**: Specifies how to gather records for the **Data Source**. Typically, 'Filter Builder' is recommended. Scripted options are available for advanced use-cases.
* **Exclude since last used**: Allows further filtering applied to data source
